Fraud Prevention

Identity thieves and cyber criminals have become more devious and more sophisticated. Fraud detection can be extremely difficult and victims often don’t learn of the fraud until after their accounts have been compromised. Your vigilance is the best solution for preventing fraud.

  • Don’t give any personal information over the phone or over the Internet. (Palm Beach Community Bank will never send you unsolicited email notification or text message requesting your user name, password or other personal information.)

  • Monitor your bank accounts. Balance them regularly.

  • Check your credit reports annually. Free credit reports are available from each of the three major credit reporting agencies. An easy way to do this is visit or call (877) 322-8228.

  • Destroy all ATM, bank and credit card receipts. This includes all old credit cards and pre-approved credit card mail items. Shred all items with personal information on them.

  • Shop safely on the Internet. Before providing credit card information, be sure to verify the website address begins with https or you see a tiny locked padlock symbol.

  • Notify Palm Beach Community Bank immediately at (561) 681-7200 if you notice any unusual activity on your account.
